Alaska has 6,640 miles of coastline bordered by many different bodies of water. When sailing away from Icy Strait Point, one sees on the horizon, a long expanse of mountains crowned with glacial peaks. Waters along the rugged coastline are dotted with small islands that appear to be floating on the icy waters.
