Falls by Christine Ford

Takakkaw Falls has a special place in my families heart. My ancestor Ralph Edwards was a guide in Banff and in 1897, he guided German professor Jean Habel over Yoho Pass, the group being the first to see Takakkaw Falls and to explore the Yoho Valley to its source at Yoho Glacier. Takakkaw is a cree word and loosely translated means “it is magnificent”!
