Dada Fragments by

The original Dadaists in early 20th century Europe were seriously nonsensical and antirational and rejected the conventions of realistic art. One of their techniques was “chance collage” which involved dropping torn pieces of paper onto a canvas and then gluing them down wherever they landed. Honestly, I didn’t do that with this piece. I very carefully spent hours and hours fretting over the best possible organization of the pieces and then gluing them down.
