Lynette Melnyk is a contemporary abstract artist creating visual harmony for people’s lives. Her abstract expressionist style is created from her interpretation of nature, dance and especially, music. Her work is like painting music, which may explain her multiple artistic styles from her soulful energetic abstracts to the sensitive organic style. Music itself is abstract, and these musical influences appear on the canvas through lyrical strokes and movements. With each painting there are no rules or restrictions. The creativity flows, just as the paint flows. The layers upon layers create a depth to the story. Her art is a powerful communicator and it has a meaningful authenticity to encourage emotions and conversations. Her goal is to engage and inspire viewers through the captivating flow of energetic movements, masterful colour palettes and unexpected whimsy.
Lynette has three paintings on exhibit at Mode Arte Design (M.A.D.) Gallery in Milan, Italy. Gallery art curator Marina Bergonzi in her review stated: “The tones used by the Canadian artist suggest a positive attitude to life, a continuous flow of creativity that gets Lynette Melnyk close to the sensitivity of the French painter Claude Monet.”
Lynette’s artworks are held in private collections in Canada, United States, England, Spain and France.
