Patricia Neden (nee Munro) was born in 1957 in Lachine Quebec and grew up in a rural setting just outside of Montreal in Ile Perrot. This pastoral environment has influenced her artistic development and expression throughout her life. She comes from a large family and is one of quadruplets; her parents were both creative people, so she comes by her talent naturally. She spent two years at John Abbott College in Montreal and after graduating she moved out west to Calgary where she met her husband. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting with distinction, and subsequently completed a degree in Print Media also with distinction. She has received the ACAD Board of Governors Award, and is at present a practicing local artist, and a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, The Alberta Society of Artists and the Alberta Printmakers Society. She has had several exhibitions in New York in the last few years;
