Ice Rhythms, Dawn Thrasher, 40″ x 30″, acrylic, $2400

“Glaciers hold special interest for this artist. They change daily with the variations of our climate. This glacier is slowly receding. Ice Rhythms was created after hiking in the Durrand Glacier region of the Selkirk Mountains.”

Fading Forest, Dawn Thrasher, 42″ x 48″, acrylic, $3150

“During a stop along a side road on the TCH, this view presented itself. It was spring, the river was rushing with fresh melt. A fan of trees teetered along the Columbia river bank created a screen for the backdrop of forest draped mountains in the distance.”

Dawn says of her painting process:

“My objective is to look through the representational elements of nature and transform my inspiration into an image with a resonance of its own. I want to reflect on the energy of nature, to express the spirit and impact it generates within me through brush and paint.”

Cranberry Flats, Dawn Thrasher, 40″ x 36″, acrylic, $2600

“While visiting Saskatchewan in the early fall, a friend took me and my camera to this special park reserve outside Saskatoon. It was a glorious day and a unique experience. The white sand dunes and shoreline of the Saskatchewan river have created this beautiful retreat area full of nature trails, wildlife and vistas of the prairie.”
